Outdated Web Architecture

The site relied on older templates and code structures that severely limited flexibility and performance. The site also suffered from technical instability, visible in broken integrations like the embedded Twitter feed, which remained stuck on “Loading…”. These issues indicated outdated API calls and poorly executed asynchronous scripting. These failed integrations broke the content flow, undermined trust, and highlighted the need for a more stable framework.

The Solution

We executed a complete refactor of the front-end architecture, moving away from legacy templates to a modern, lightweight codebase. We optimized the rendering path and compressed assets, drastically improving the site’s speed and stability.

To ensure the site was accessible to all potential students (and legally compliant), we deployed a rigorous ADA and GDPR remediation plan. We fixed code-level accessibility errors (like contrast issues and missing ARIA labels) and implemented full GDPR protocols for international students.
